In a recent development regarding the Mohbad case, Afeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley, is facing accusations in the death of his former signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, alias Mohbad. The controversial circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s demise on September 12 have prompted multiple police investigations and a coroner’s inquest.
However, Naira Marley’s legal representative, Olalekan Ojo, has vehemently refuted these allegations. Speaking in a video chat with Daddy Freeze, which went viral on Sunday, Ojo clarified that the widely circulated video, featuring Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, attempting to intimidate Mohbad during a video shoot, was misunderstood by the public.
Ojo firmly stated, “I firmly believe that no matter how closely you scrutinize the evidence, you will not find a single instance where Naira Marley bullied Mohbad.”
He went on to explain that Sam Larry, Mohbad, and Zlatan resolved their differences and even shared a meal of Amala together after the incident. Ojo pointed out the existence of a longer video that shows the three individuals together.
Recalling the events, Ojo mentioned, “In June 2023, Sam Larry visited Elegushi Beach and heard that musicians were filming a music video. He decided to see who they were. In the video, he was surprised to see that it was Naira Marley.”
The video in question is a mere nine seconds long, and it is noteworthy that a longer version reveals the trio enjoying a meal of Amala together after the incident.
As the controversy continues to unfold, the ultimate determination of guilt or innocence rests with the courts. This case raises questions about the trustworthiness of our justice system.
