The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, has called for justice over the brutal killing of Temidayo Ayodeji, a final year student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, around the school premises.
NANS had additionally called for the student area of the institution to be in a state of emergency, urging all security agencies available to swift action immediately.
According to reports, Temidayo, the deceased student was said to have engaged in an argument with an indigene of the community, who wanted to extort him of the sum of N1,000.
It was during the exchange that Temidayo was stabbed dead.
Meanwhile, Comrade Awoyinfa Opeoluwa, the Public Relations Officer, of NANS South-West, the students’ umbrella body has called on the authorities to ensure that those responsible for Temidayo’s death are brought to book.
The body had also sent condolence messages to the family of the late Temidayo, praying for his soul to rest in peace.
