Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is said to have given a clear message regarding Victor Osimhen: he is for sale to the highest bidder this summer, as several European clubs queue for the Nigerian striker.
Osimhen was supposed to be on his way out last year but stayed put at Napoli after proposed moves to Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea fell through. Osimhen spent a loan spell at Galatasaray where he scored 26 in 30 games as he found himself behind Romelu Lukaku in the pecking order under manager Antonio Conte.
Although he has a €75m (£62.7m) release clause, Napoli might give in for less, with his contract ending in 2026 and an extension not on the horizon. Sky Sport Switzerland inform us that De Laurentiis wants to find a bidding war in order to achieve the maximum possible amount for Napoli.
PSG are out of the race after it signed Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in January, which leaves Chelsea still interested, while Manchester United has added Osimhen to its wish list. Chelsea came close to securing his signature last summer and Osimhen is a fan of the London club as previously confirmed by Nigeria teammate William Troost-Ekong.
Osimhen recently said he still didn’t know where his future lay and hasn’t ruled out a big-money move when his Galatasaray loan ends.
