121 alleged drug traffickers  detained by agents of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kaduna State Command

The operation was carried out in September, according to the NDLEA Commander, Mr. Umar Adoro, who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Kaduna.

Adoro said that 27 prominent drug dens had been demolished throughout the state.

He claimed that Kawo, Kabala Costain, Numba Zango, Zaria City, Sabon gari, Nupe street, and Unguwar Muazu were the locations of the illegal drug distribution centers.

Others include Kafanchan, Dan Magaji, Unguwar Shanu, Maraban Jos, and Unguwar Shanu. 13 of the 121 suspects, he continued, were women.

According to the commander, the substances recovered comprised 74,441 kg of psychotropic substance, 0.001 kg of methamphetamine, 0.004 kilograms of heroin, 0.041 kg of cocaine, and 247,172 kg of Indian hemp.

To help the agency act quickly, the Commander made a request to the public for timely and meaningful information on illegal drug dealers.

He recommended guardians and parents constantly keep an eye on their wards and the friends they hang out with.

He declared that the fight against drug use and trafficking will go on until it was completely eradicated in the state.
