The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA distributed drugs to four different hospitals in Kano State to support flood victims and other victims of various emergencies.
The NEMA Director-General, Mustapha Habib-Ahmed, while presenting the items remarked that the donation was made by the company: Map International to the Kano hospitals and that the donation was to assist the efforts of the Federal government in providing quality healthcare service to victims of floods, kidnapping, and banditry.
The benefitting hospitals included: Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, Bichi General Hospital, Wudil General Hospital, and Karaye General Hospital and the drugs shared were prenatal micronutrient supplement X100, knee walkers, syringes, krill oil 500mg, eyeglasses, respirators, lancet pro-care, bactine sprays, disposable barrier gowns, and sharp collector among others items.
The governor of the state, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has thanked NEMA for the support and urged beneficiaries to ensure the judicious use of those items.
Additionally, the Kano State Director of, the Hospital Management Board, Nasiru Alhassan-Kabo, commended NEMA for the kind and thoughtful gesture.
