A newlywed man has been met with angry backlash after he revealed that he and his wife separated a few weeks after their traditional marriage due to incompatible genotypes.
He had just announced the news to his followers on TikTok. He posted a photo from the wedding, which was held on 5th May 2024. In a caption, heartfelt and full of emotional pain, he explained his difficult decision to part ways.
“We got married on May 5th, 2024, and separated in July 2024 due to genotype issues. God knows I love you deeply, but we must go our separate ways to avoid a lifetime of pain. I pray God leads you to your own path soon. You will always have a place in my heart,” he wrote.
Many social media users were outraged, asking why the couple had not done genotype tests before marriage. Many people felt this was an important issue that ought to have been dealt with earlier to avoid such heartbreak.
