A Nigerian Air Force helicopter has crashed in Tamu village, located within the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The incident, which occurred early on Monday morning, has sparked concern and raised questions about the cause.

The crash site is situated near Rigachikun and unsettlingly close to the headquarters of the Nigerian Air Force Air Training Centre in Mando. While the cause of the incident remains unknown, a team comprised of personnel from both the Air Training Centre and the 401 Flying School has swiftly secured the area. This swift action aims to facilitate emergency rescue operations, should they be necessary, and to commence a thorough investigation into the cause of the crash.

As of this report, the Nigerian Air Force has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident. However, local residents reported hearing a loud crash in the early hours of Monday morning, raising initial alarms.

This incident comes amidst ongoing security challenges in Kaduna State, where the Nigerian Air Force plays a crucial role in counterterrorism efforts. The cause of the crash – whether mechanical failure, human error, or something else entirely – remains under investigation.

This developing story will be updated as further information becomes available. Stay tuned for official statements from the Nigerian Air Force.
