The Federal government of Nigeria has given its full approval to a Nigerian start-up airline, Rano Air, to begin operation.
The special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media and Digital Communication, Bashir Ahmad announced his verified Twitter page on Sunday, December 11.
He also revealed that all was finalized for the airline to begin transporting passengers across Nigeria.
Rano Air is owned by a Kano-born business mogul and oil magnate, Alhaji Auwalu Abdullahi Rano, who is also consequently the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of A.A. Rano Group.
The airline announced last month that it had procured four EMB-145LRs aircraft to begin operations in 2022 and applied for an Air Transport License, ATL, with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA.
