Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has returned to Abuja after representing President Bola Tinubu at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
His arrival was confirmed by his spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha, in a statement on Sunday.
Activities at UNGA
During his time in New York, Vice President Shettima delivered Nigeria’s National Statement at the General Debate. He also participated in various bilateral meetings and numerous sideline events.
Upcoming Engagements
Following his return, VP Shettima will join President Bola Tinubu for events commemorating Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary, as noted in the statement.
