Report confirms that nine people lost their lives as the Golf Wagon they boarded fell into a dam.
This event was confirmed by Aminu Abdullahi the spokesperson for the Kano state fire service, according to him, they got a distress call around 6.45 pm on Saturday informing them of the incident, and some firemen were immediately mobilized to the scene. They managed to rescue twelve persons
On Saturday, November 19, 2022, the state fire service received an emergency call from one Ali Faci at about 6:45 pm.
“Faci reported an incident at Fada dam, Gwarzo Local Government Area, Dayi road, adding that firemen mobilized from Gwarzo fire station and arrived at the scene at about 7:10 pm.
“They discovered that an unregistered Golf Wagon car from Kano, heading to Katsina, plunged into Fada dam. Twelve unidentified persons were rescued on the spot.
Unfortunately, only three persons survived as the rest nine were pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
