According to the FRSC, nine passengers have suffered varying degrees of burns in an auto crash on the Ogbomoso-Oyo Expressway.
Joshua Adekanye, the State Corps Commander had confirmed the incident in to NAN via an interview in Ibadan on Saturday.
He had stated that the accident which occurred on Saturday involved a trailer and a truck at Sekona area along the Ogbomoso – Oyo Expressway.
Nine out of the 13 people involved in the accident had sustained burns while the rest (four people) escaped unharmed.
The accident had occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, when a trailer rammed into the truck igniting a fire immediately.
Adekanye had said that the probable cause of the accident might have been due to over speeding and inappropriate overtaking.
Meanwhile, the burnt victims have been referred to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital for treatment.
Finally, Adekanye warned all motorists to avoid night travels, undue overtaking and dangerous driving to ensure safety on the road.
