OAU Nigerian Students Label Defence Chief ‘Persona Non-Grata’ For Mocking the End Sars Movement

The Students of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, have labeled the Nigerian Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor a “persona non grata” in the university while also canceling proposed plans to name the Students Union Building after him.

The students in a statement titled: “Gen. Lucky Irabor Is Not Welcome on OAU Campus” had said:

“It is an unforgivable action that these latest sets of executives have engraved the name of a man who is in the topmost echelon of the Nigeria Army, an institution that has committed injustices from time immemorial, on the sacred walls of our union building.”

“Just recently” the statement continued, General Lucky Irabor, who, without any remorse, cast aspersions on the Lagos EndSARS panel which sought justice for the massacred protesters at Lekki and several other parts of Lagos State.”

“We hereby reiterate that General Lucky Irabor is not welcomed on our campus and his presence will be rebuked by the mass of the ever-Great Ife students.”
