The grounding of the Obi-Datti Campaign plane intended to transport party officials from Lagos and Abuja nearly derailed the Labour Party’s presidential campaign in Ibadan.
They expressed surprise at the campaign aircraft’s grounding in a statement from Diran Onifade, Head of Media for the Obi-Datti Campaign Organization.
The Labour Party and campaign officials, who had already congregated at the airports in Lagos and Abuja, were unable to attend the Ibadan event as a result of the action, he claimed.
They said they only have information provided to them by the leasing vendor, which states that “Federal authorities won’t permit the Obidient Aircraft to file a flight plan due to ongoing regulatory investigations. They were neither aware of the specifics nor the nature of the investigations

Pa Ayo Adebanjo, the head of the Yoruba socio-political group, attended the Labour Party’s presidential rally on Wednesday in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State. Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra State and the party’s presidential candidate, as well as Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed, were in attendance.
In a brief Yoruba speech, Adebanjo asked the audience to avoid letting tribalism affect their decision to vote in the 2023 presidential election. At a news conference in Lagos in September, Adebanjo had endorsed Obi on the grounds that his ethnic group hadn’t yet held the presidency since democracy had been restored.

The South-West has produced a President and currently sits as Vice President. The South-South has spent a total of six years in the Presidency.
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is also a front-runner contender, but he emphasized that they will not compromise on the principles of justice, equity, and inclusivity. They criticize the People’s Democratic Party for endorsing Atiku Abubakar, a Northern Fulani Muslim who will follow General Muhammadu Buhari, another Fulani Muslim, on the same basis.
