The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, had on Sunday, May 7, paid a courtesy visit to Nobel laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka.
This is coming after the playwright had clashed with the Obidients, a nickname adopted by Obi’s supporters, saying that Peter Obi’s supporters were fascists who did not entertain corrective criticism during a program he appeared in on Channels Tv.
Obi had then responded to Soyinka via a popular program on Channels Television, stating that he was saddened by the whole affair (the exchange) while reiterating that he respected Soyinka as a father.
But in Obi’s recent tweet, on Sunday evening, he described his visit to the playwright as enriching, adding that he had an insightful discussion with the playwright.
