The supporters of Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate, otherwise tagged as OBIdients, have stormed Enugu State capital today in a bid to create awareness for Peter Obi’s candidacy.
The awareness bid otherwise tagged the one-million-man march had kicked off at the Michael Okpara Square and the unprecedented turnout had grounded vehicular movement within the state.
The huge crowd, which tripled as the team advanced, made their way around the major roads in the State before coming back to Okpara Square. Commuters, who had faced hardship accessing certain parts of the State, had no choice but to resort to alternative, less popular routes.
Obi’s supporters had marched through the capital city belting out solidarity songs as they moved. According to reports, the rally had been a peaceful one as the excited indigenes and residents conducted themselves in a very civil manner.
