Dr Ado Ibrahim, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, has been confirmed dead.
The paramount ruler of Ebiraland had according to reports, died in the early hours of Sunday, October 29, at the age of 95.
Several sources from the Palace in Lokoja had informed Channels Television that he had given up the ghost in an Abuja hospital where he had been receiving treatment for an age-related ailment. He will be buried in line with Islamic rites.
Ado Ibrahim was coronated in 1997 as the Ohinoyi of Ebira land by the Governor of Kogi State as at then, the late Prince Abubakar Audu. He took over from his predecessor, Sanni Omolorim who occupied the throne between 1957 and 1997.
The deceased, Ado Ibrahim was born on February 7, 1929. He had then finished his primary education in 1940 at the Native Authority primary school in Okene, Kogi State.
He thereafter had his secondary school education at Ondo Boys High School, before he later moved to Oduduwa College, where he graduated in 1949.
The monarch had obtained a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics in 1954 and a master’s degree from Harvard Business School in 1959.
