Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege accused Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of organizing gangs dressed in military uniforms to attack supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He reported feeling unable to sleep the night before due to multiple reports of PDP attackers injuring APC supporters. After casting his ballot at Eghoma Primary School in Ika North East Council, Ward 2, Unit 17, Governor Okowa thanked everyone for holding a peaceful election and asserted that the PDP was prepared and ready to take power over Nigeria.
Despite praising INEC for managing a smooth election process, Omo-Agege voiced his concern that the PDP had plans of hijacking the voting procedure with their thugs.
He predicted that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu would be elected as president today in Delta, and expressed confidence that his party would also win the majority of the national assembly seats.
He noted that INEC had done a good job despite the lack of sufficient security in most places, which has disrupted the PDP by sending in thugs.
