At least one fatality has been recorded as confirmed dead in a separate accident that occurred in Meiran, Lagos State, a short while after a passenger train crashed into a government staff buss
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) while confirming the accident on its Twitter page said that the accident had occurred when a bus drove against traffic and collided with a Honda Civic car. The Honda Civic car driver had died on the spot.
The tweet had partly read:
“Officers of the Nigerian police force are on the ground to maintain sanity, while we await a tow truck for evacuation of the vehicles”.
