The Elections of the Christain Council of Nigeria (CCN) were held today, and Most Rev. David Onuoha of the Owerri of the Ecclesiastical province, Anglican communion emerged winner of the Elections.
He was able to gather 342 votes, defeating his opponent, who is the outgoing vice president of the council, His Eminence Rev. Isreal Akanji who polled 338 votes.
He will be taking over from the outgoing president of the council, Most Rev. Benebo Emmanuel, to pilot the affairs of the council for the next three years.
