Victor Osimhen’s amazing two-goal performance led Galatasaray to an outstanding 3-1 victory over Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Champions League, as the Turkish giants made it back-to-back European wins.

RamsPark went wild just three minutes into the game when Mario Lemina found Osimhen with a through ball, and the Nigerian striker finished with precision right in front of Nikita Haikin. Osimhen kept on bothering the defenders and, after two headed attempts from Leroy Sané crosses were saved by Haikin, in the 33rd minute he shot from close range to double the lead. A mistake in the backpass made by Fredrik André Bjørkan enabled Osimhen to go around the goalkeeper and score with a quiet finish.

However, before the interval, Bodo/Glimt had a chance to alter the score as Sondre Brunstad Fet’s shot struck the crossbar. After the break, Galatasaray ensured the game was over as Osimhen stole the ball from Haitam Aleesami, and then setting up Yunus Akgün who slammed the ball into the net after a rebound.

The away team managed to score through Andreas Helmersen’s header off Bjørkan’s cross in the 76th minute but it was just a late goal. With this victory Galatasaray reached the milestone of wins as they are now 21 victories in their last 23 encounters in all competitions while Bodo/Glimt notch their first loss after 5 consecutive matches without defeat in Europe. After the opening-day loss against Eintracht Frankfurt the Turkish champions are now looking solid and on track again.
