Ikechukwu Okafor, the media aide to ex-Aviation Minister, Chief Osita Chidoka, has just lost his elder sister, Chika Okafor, to the tragic hands of death at the age of 51.
Mr Okafor, had in a statement, revealed that his sister had died in a fatal motor accident that occurred on Saturday, August 12, along Abatete road in Idemili North Local Government Area, in Anambra State.
The car crash had claimed the lives of all passengers aboard it except the driver. The car had crashed into a commercial Sienna bus belonging to Onitsha South Mass Transit.
Ikechukwu Okafor’s statement reads thus:
“With a heavy heart and extreme sorrow, I announce the death of my beloved sister, Chika Okafor.
“She died in a fatal motor accident that happened along Abatete Road in Idemili North Local Government Area, in Anambra State, today, Saturday, August 12.
“Chika had been my only sister. This unfortunate incident will no doubt, leave a huge dent and pain in our hearts. She died at the age of 51 years.”
“I ask for God’s mercy and grace upon her and the loved ones she left behind to mourn her.”
“Funeral arrangements will be communicated in due time.”
