The Free train service provided by the Osun state government during the festive periods, could not hold this year in Osun state under Governor Adeleke Ademola Government, well the Osun state Government on Sunday has assured its citizens that the free train service has not been canceled, and the reason it could not hold this year, was due to some difficulties encountered while planning the execution of this initiative.
The Innovation was started by former Governor, Rauf Aregbesola and operated throughout his tenure, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola the immediate ex-Governor of Osun state continued the initiative during his tenure, this will be the first time since 2011, that the Osun State Government failed to provide free train service
According to Ola Rasheed, the spokesperson to the Governor, because Governor Ademola just assumed office, they encountered problems in setting up this initiative, so the free train service is not canceled.
The circumstances of the assumption of office however create little hiccups in the planning and execution. So for the free ride, it is not canceled.
“The challenges are the teething problems associated with a new government just settling down.”
