The Osun State Government has announced that it will do everything to ensure adequate medical treatment for the survivors of the road accident which happened in Osogbo on Tuesday.
The Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye had personally made this reassurance while paying a visit to the family of one of the victims of Tuesday’s accident, via a statement signed by Kolapo Alimi, the Osun State Commissioner for Information and Culture.
Recall that on Tuesday, an accident was reported to have occurred on Tuesday morning near WOCDIF event center, Ring Road, Osogbo.
The statement read:
“We [the delegation] are here on the instruction of Governor Adeleke who is currently out of the state, to commiserate with you on the unfortunate incident that just happened. We pray that God almighty gives you the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
“I have been directed to inform you that the state government will take charge of all the medical bills of the children presently undergoing treatment at UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital (UTH) until they fully recover. The medical practitioners in charge should kindly ensure that all necessary steps and procedures are taken to guarantee the speedy recovery of the sick children,” Igbalaye concluded.
