Ozornwafor Replaces Injured Balogun for Algeria Against Nigeria Friendly.

Valentine Ozornwafor, a Sochaux defender has been invited for the super eagles’ friendly match against Algeria in Oran, he was called to replace Balogun Leon, a Queens Park Ranger player who sustained an injury and can’t feature in the match.

Leon Balogun featured for the super eagles in their friendly game against Stoke City which ended in a goalless draw.

This isn’t Ozornwafor’s first time featuring for super eagles, as he was invited for a friendly match with Seychelles and Egypt in 2019 but ended up as an unused substitute. The Nigerian football Federation announced on their Twitter handle

Update: Valentine Ozornwafor replaces injured Leon Balogun for #Algeria clash,” the NFF wrote on Twitter.

The match is now slated to hold in the Stade Olympique d’oran on Tuesday, 24 September.
