Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has lamented the rampant rate of divorce happening in the Nigerian movie industry.

In the veteran actor’s assessment, almost all the actresses in the country were divorced.

This claim had been made during an interview with famous media personality, Chude Jideonwo.

In Mr Edochie’s words:
“If you come to our industry today and conduct a survey, you’ll find out that most of our ladies who tied the nuptial knot about two, three years ago, have all left their husbands. I was surprised that Chioma Chukwuka, Tonto Dikeh and Ireti Doyle had all left their husbands.”

“When one is getting married, the involved parties take a vow to stay for better or worse, and not for better or out.”

“People would will always think that (the grass) is greener on the other side; this is unfortunately, the mistake that we all make.”
