Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, demonstrates his commitment to education and healthcare by presenting a N10 million cheque to the College of Nursing Sciences at St. Charles Borromeo Specialist Hospital in Onitsha, Anambra.

While some may question the motives behind such acts of charity, Mr. Obi’s focus on educational growth and sustainability rather than token gestures during political seasons is commendable. He urges relevant authorities to prioritize sectors crucial to human development, such as health and education, to uplift people out of poverty.

Valerian Okeke, representing the college’s management, expresses gratitude for Mr. Obi’s continuous support, encouraging students to uphold the institution’s standards and excel in their endeavors.

Despite political intentions, Mr. Obi’s efforts underscore the importance of directing attention and resources towards essential sectors for the betterment of society.
