Pete Edochie, a seasoned performer, and his wife Josephine celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on Saturday.
On his Instagram page, Edochie posted pictures from the event and thanked his wife.
He said, “53 years of marital bliss with my queen, Chief Barrister Mrs. Josephine Edochie. Thanks to my children for hosting us to the biggest party of our lifetime, yes our life because we are one.
“In celebration of our 53 years of marriage and Life in goodness and good health.
God has blessed us over the past 53 years with six biological children (along with all the inherited offspring and numerous grandkids).
Pete Edochie is regarded as one of the continent’s most outstanding actors and has received awards from the Africa Film Academy for Lifetime Achievement and the Industry Merit Award from Africa Magic.
He first earned recognition in the 1980s when he portrayed Okonkwo, the main character, in a Nigerian Television Authority production of Things Fall Apart, the all-time best-selling novel by Chinua Achebe.
