The Plateau State Police Command has revealed that it has begun investigating the burning of the house of Michal Adanchi, the district head of Bokkos town in Bokkos LGA of the state during a protest by some women in the community.
According to reports, Ithe women set the house on fire at about 12:30 on Friday, after it was reported that the some members of the community had been arrested over over reported involvement in the recent killings in the area.
While speaking with news reporters, the spokesperson for the command, Alabo Alfred, revealed that calm had been re-established in the area.
The police spokesperson had said: said, “We have restored calmness to the area and we are putting in a lot of work. However, because of strategy purposes, I cannot inform the general public. We are doing a lot and we have re-established peace to the area. We are working on the arrest and feedback will be given very soon.”
Finally, Alfred added that the command was working to bring the perpetrators to book.
