Police Operatives Arrest Two Commercial Bus Drivers In Lagos Over Strike Action

Two commercial bus drivers in Lagos State under the association of the Joint Drivers Welfare Association of Nigeria -JDWAN, have been arrested by hoodlums working for Governor Sanwo-Olu and lawless policemen around Orile Igamu.

According to reports, the two bus drivers had been arrested on Tuesday, November 1st morning for observing the seven days strike action called by JDWAN leadership.

This was after commercial drivers in the state had in a statement given by its National Leader, Akintade Abiodun on Sunday, October 31 promised to boycott services across Lagos state for a week over reported multiple and excessive extortions of their members by the management of parks and garages in the state, as well as those affiliated to the National Union of Road Transport Workers -NURTW and Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria -RTEAN.
