Benji Gregory was found dead in his car, leaving a shock on his fans and family.

He was best known for playing Brian Tanner on the iconic 1980s TV series “Alf.”

Gregory’s sister, Rebecca, verified the tragic news, revealing that on June 13, his body was found in a Chase Bank parking lot in Peoria.

The Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet provided official confirmation, but preliminary reports indicate that Gregory passed away on the same day.

Rebecca disclosed that her brother had battled bipolar disorder, sadness, and a severe sleep ailment that frequently prevented him from falling asleep for days at a time.

Gregory’s close friends think that on June 12, he went to the bank to deposit leftover cheques and might have slept off in his car.

Given the intense summertime heat in Arizona, it’s possible that he passed away from vehicle heatstroke.

June temperatures in the region can reach to an average high of 41 degrees Celsius (106F), with lows of about 23 degrees Celsius (73F), according to Intrepid Travel.

Tragically, Gregory’s service dog, Hans, also died in the car.

Fans and others of the entertainment industry have expressed their grief in response to the news.

Bottom Line

Benji Gregory gained to stardom as Brian Tanner on “Alf,” playing in 101 episodes between 1986 and 1990. Although he continued to perform after the programme ended, he did not reach the same degree of success and eventually left the entertainment industry in 2003 to serve in the United States Navy.
