Graham Potter has indicated that Alexander Isak might make a comeback from his injury before the March international break, thus giving a lift not only to Sweden national team fans but also to Liverpool supporters.
The forward broke his fibula toward the end of 2025, and at first, it was not even clear when he would be back. Still, Potter seemed to be hinting that the healing had been going well and he was ready for an early return. He also spoke with optimism regarding Dejan Kulusevski, who’s also on the sideline.
“They both keep pushin,g and they’re positive, ” Potter explained. “It’s definitely not easy to bring someone back from such injuries in such a short time as March, but it’s still possible.”
The void created by Isak has been very noticeable in this tough campaign. After an illustrious transfer from Newcastle United, the 25-year-old contributed three goals in 16 outings before the injury stopped him. His mishaps have also put extra weight on the shoulders of teammate Hugo Ekitiké, who, after a sparkling start, has seen his form fluctuate.
Liverpool has been limited offensively this season, and Isak would be a massive boost for the Reds as the club is in the top four. Although Isak was not in top form before his injury, his involvement would offer the team more options and healthy competition for places in the final stretch of the season.
