President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier this morning, December 3, signed the 2023 Appropriation Bill of N21.83 trillion into law.
The Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, had prior hinted that barring any last-minute circumstances, Buhari would sign the 2023 appropriation bill on Tuesday, December 3.
Lawan had also revealed that he discussed certain national issues with President Buhari, including the recent additional loan request and the legislature’s support to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, ahead of the general polls and the 2023 Appropriation Bill.
Buhari had signed the 2023 transition budget at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, in the presence of Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Ahmed Lawan, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and several other notable members of the Federal Executive Council.
