The Presidential Election Petition Court has just adjourned the continuation of the pre-hearing petition by the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, against Bola Tinubu, the president-elect of the All Progressive Congress to Thursday, May 18, 2023.
In the petition, Atiku Abubakar is contesting Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 presidential election because the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC failed to electronically upload the election results at the time the winner was declared.
Additionally, Peter Obi and his political party, are currently arguing that the president-elect did not receive at least one-quarter of the votes polled in the Federal Capital Territory election.
according to reports, the case had been pre-heard on Thursday morning, May 11 after the counsel for Atiku and his political party, the PDP, had expressed interest in the subject.
