Primary and secondary schools in Lagos will resume on Monday.

All nursery, primary, and secondary schools in Lagos State are required to start classes again on Monday for the academic year 2022–2023. This declaration was made by the Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo, in a circular sent out on Saturday by Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, Director-General of the Office of Education Quality Assurance. To ensure that the session was fruitful, staff and students were advised to adhere to all health and safety guidelines. According to the harmonized academic calendar approved by the honorable commissioner for education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo, all schools below the tertiary level in Lagos State are required to start classes for the first term on Monday, September 5, 2022.

The academic calendar places a high priority on standardized learning; days and schools must strictly adhere to it to provide Lagos State students with a high-quality, long-lasting education.

Students and school-based personnel (members) are invited back to class and are required to follow health and safety guidelines to have a successful academic year.
