Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has signed for Paris Saint-Germain from Napoli in a reported €70M deal. He will wear the number 7 shirt for Luis Enrique’s side after signing a four-and-a-half-year contract, having asked to leave the club last week.
Kvaratskhelia proved an insurance policy for Napoli’s 2022-23 Serie A title-winning record, netting 12 goals and chalking up 10 assists as the club achieved their first Scudetto in 33 years. But after a disappointing 2023-24 campaign that saw Napoli finish 10th, he had five goals and three assists this term before his move to Paris.
Commenting on his transfer, Kvaratskhelia added: “It’s a dream, to be here. I am proud to become a part of this great club and I am looking forward to new challenges, new goals and helping the team.”
Having made his Serie A bow back in 2022, Kvaratskhelia develops those numbers further still, with 47 league goal involvements (28 goals, 19 assists) to his name; one of the league’s top creators. During the same period, he is also first for dribbles attempted (482) and completed (196). PSG will be hoping his attacking prowess will guide them to a fourth straight Ligue 1 title.
