Eight staff members at the directorate level and two resident electoral commissioners have all been relocated by the independent national electoral commission. Dr. Cyril Omorogbe has been transferred from Cross River State to Akwa Ibom State, according to a statement released on Tuesday by Festus Okoye, National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee. Dr. Alalibo Sinikiem has been transferred from Edo State to Cross River State.
In addition, Chidi Nwafor, who was the Director of ICT, has been transferred to the position of Administrative Secretary in Enugu State in place of Paul Omokore, Director, Planning and Monitoring Department, Headquarters, Abuja. Additionally, Mr. Jude Okwuanu, the administrative secretary of Enugu State, has been transferred to Anambra State as administrative secretary, and Mr. Chima Duruaku, the administrative secretary of Anambra State, has been promoted to director of the planning and monitoring department at the national headquarters in Abuja.
Salisu Garba, Director in the Electoral Operations Department, is now Director Procurement, Headquarters, Abuja. Usman Wase, Acting Director, Human Resource Management, Headquarters, Abuja, was transferred to Nasarawa State as acting Administrative Secretary. Additionally, Godwin Wada Edibo, the acting administrative secretary of Nasarawa State, is now the acting administrative secretary of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), replacing Waziri Zanna, who was the acting administrative secretary for the FCT.
