Residents of Ibadan, Oyo State had on Wednesday, 15 February morning taken to the streets to protest the lingering petrol and naira notes crisis plaguing Nigeria at the moment.
The residents had barricaded the busy Eleyele junction in the North-West Ibadan.
Recall that a similar protest had rocked the city on Friday, February 3, after certain hoodlums within well-known Araromi Spare parts, Gate, had used the protest as a cover and razed a police station, stealing their Plasma TV, and vandalizing a WEMA Bank branch in the area.
The protesters had accused POS operators of plotting with bank officials to withdraw large sums of the new naira notes while the common man gets little amounts after queuing for long hours and sometimes no cash at all.
