The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has criticised the vandalisation of public assets at the State Assembly complex in very strong terms.
According to reports, there was an pyromania attack on the chambers of the state assembly on Sunday night, October 29.
The APC, the opposition party in the state, had described the development as a violation of the legislature.
In a statement Darlington Nwauju, the spokesperson of the Rivers APC, had signed, he had issued warnings to political actors to avoid jeopardizing the fragile security of the state on account of their political greed.
The statement had said:
“We had cautioned Rivers people of the 3rd term ambition of the immediate past Governor, Nyesom Wike and the unpatriotic agenda to persist in emasculating the state and keeping our people perpetually in poverty with the “consolidation of a intricate economy fuelled by the commercial distribution of state resources.”
