Cristiano Ronaldo’s Claimed he could have played for Barcelona
Cristiano Ronaldo will turn 40 on Wednesday yet still, defies the gamut of the ancient gap with world-class goal-scoring wizardry. Ronaldo has scored 23 times for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia this season, and also netted five in the Nations League with Portugal.
Ronaldo has been even bolder, declaring himself the “best player ever” in an interview with Spanish-speaking television show La Sexta. “I think I am the best player in football history, no one has done better things than me,” said the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
“The numbers say that I am the most complete footballer ever. You can prefer Messi, Maradona or Pelé, but I’m the most complete, and the stats endorse me.”

Ronaldo focused on his many attributes, stressing his pace, power and ability to score in various ways. “No one has ever been more complete than me,” he continued.
The ex-Sporting, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus forward said that he could have signed for Barcelona ahead of his switch to England “Barca was interested when I was at Sporting, but then came Manchester United a year later,” he revealed.
Ronaldo also complimented Vinícius Jr. and said he was surprised the player was not nominated for a Ballon d’Or. “Not credible; Vini deserved to win,” he said, praising the Brazilian for his Champions League win and his goal-scoring exploits.
