The All Progressive Congress governorship candidate in Bauchi State, Sadique Abubakar, has rejected the governorship election results held in the state on Saturday, March 18. The announcement had come during a news conference on Monday night in Bauchi, the state capital.
According to Abubakar, the election should be rejected because it was marred with rigging.
Recall that Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had on Monday, March 20, announced Sen. Bala Mohammed, of the Peoples Democratic Party as the winner of the election after he had polled 525,280 votes to win Abubakar who had scored 432,272 votes.
According to Abubakar, his party, APC would consult with stakeholders to determine the next action on the announced election results.
