Former Big Brother Naija housemate Saga has paid a poignant tribute to his late mother on the 10th anniversary of her death.
In a heartfelt video, Saga sang praises to his mother and acknowledged her huge impact in his life. Saga wished his mother’s death were a dream, but he accepted her physical absence.
He credited his mother for teaching him important skills and qualities including sketching, singing, acting, and hard work during the course of their 21-year relationship.
Saga affectionately referred to his mother as his “Angel” and pledged to tell his future children stories about her.

He also stated his desire to offer N100,000 to ten motherless individuals, urging them to share their story and account information via direct message.
What they’re saying
“To my beloved…”Sometimes I wonder if the last ten years have all been a dream, and that one day I’ll wake up to the fragrance of you preparing Akara and saying “Ade boy, osese n ji ni!”
“I suppose that’s the dream itself, and every day I wake up to the fact that you’re no longer physically present with me.
“For 21 years, you provided me with everything I needed. Every talent, from drawing, singing, acting, speaking, performing, controlling my stuttering tongue, hard work, clever work, labour dignity, loving God, guarding, protecting, and uniting the family, loving myself, neighbours, and God, being a social butterfly, caring for women, and even how to be a decent husband and parent.
“For all of this, I’ll call you my Angel.. You are no longer with us, but we will never forget you. I’ll tell my kids stories like how you accidentally spat on another man’s face while driving from our car (someone who was going Jeje and driving his own car, unaware that his face would catch spit at some time) and we apologised, and I had the hardest laugh.
“In honour of your 49th birthday, I’d like to help 10 mothers in need with N100,000 within 48 hours. Simply enter my direct message, tell me about your mother, why you need the money, and attach your account details. Tag anyone who may need it, as the economy is already difficult. Always and forever, mom.”
Bottom Line
His decision to offer financial assistance to ten motherless individuals is a generous act that extends his mother’s spirit of kindness and care to others. It demonstrates a desire to turn personal grief into a positive impact for those in need, reflecting the values his mother instilled in him.
