The Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) Executive Committee has agreed to the re-instatement of Coach Salisu Yusuf as the Assistant Coach of the Super Eagles taking effect from November 1st, 2021.
This was revealed by the General Secretary of the NFF, Dr Mohammed Sanusi while speaking to the press on friday, he said that the decision of the NFF board to re-instate the 59-year old was based on the endorsement of the Technical Department of the NFF.
The former Kano Pillars and Enyimba FC boss is respected for his capabilities in discovering and developing talents and match-reading skills. He featured for the likes of El Kanemi Warriors, Rancher Bees of Kaduna, amongst others.
Yusuf’s return to the Super Eagles Coaching Crew will be a boost for the team as they seek to secure the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 ticket while also preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) finals taking place in Cameroon next year.
This re-instatement also means Yusuf is back as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles Team B known as the “Home based” Eagles.
