The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has officially appointed Tayo Bamgbose-Martins as the new Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development in the state.
Bamgbose-Martins is replacing his predecessor, Idris Salako who resigned on Monday, September 5, 2022, after a seven-storey building had collapsed in Oniru.
The Commissioner for Information, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, announced Bamgbose-Martins’ appointment in a statement released Wednesday, September 7 via the Lagos state government’s Instagram page.
Prior to the latest appointment, Bamgbose-Martins had been the Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations since 2019. He is currently a member of the Lagos State Project Finance and Process Compliance Audit Committee.
