Samuel Chukwueze and Emmanuel Dennis will not feature in Nigeria’s match against the Desert Foxes of Algeria, as both players sustained injuries and would have to be away from the pitch for a while.
Ahmed Musa, super eagles captain also won’t feature due to an injury he sustained.
Saviour Godwin and Ebube Duru were given late invitations as replacements for Dennis and Chukwueze by Super Eagles manager Jose Peseiro.
Saviour who plays for Portugal club, Casa pia came to limelight last season, after his terrific performance for the club. He also featured for Nigeria in the U-17 U-20 and U-23 levels.
Duru plays for Nigeria professional football league Champions, Rivers United.
This is quite unfortunate as most super eagles’ key players are ruled out due to injury, if we can recall, Victor Osimhen, Leon Balogun, and Umar Sadiq are all down with injuries.
