Prior to the general elections in 2023, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senate Caucus asserted that the main opposition party is united.
Speaking in Abuja, Phillip Aduda, the Senate Minority Leader, along with a few party leaders, stated that the PDP is preparing to win the upcoming election.
According to Aduda, the PDP chieftains are gathering to assess the success of the party’s nationwide campaigns and offer advice to Atiku Abubakar, who is the party’s presidential candidate.
Despite the requests of the G-5—a group of five disgruntled governors—Aduda made this statement on Friday.
To back Atiku in 2023, the governors had insisted on Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s national chairman, resigning.
