President Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election was officially confirmed by the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC). This ruling, announced on Wednesday, was met with cheers from Tinubu’s supporters, hailing him as the indomitable Lion of the political jungle who refused to be dethroned.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio wasted no time in applauding the Court’s decision, emphasizing that it unequivocally upholds the mandate granted by the Nigerian people to the Tinubu/Shettima ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the February polls.

Akpabio further commended the PEPC’s thorough evaluation of the petitioners’ claims, stating that this verdict sheds light on the integrity of Nigeria’s electoral process. He urged all Nigerians, regardless of political affiliation, to appreciate and support the progress being made in the nation’s electoral system.

Akpabio’s message extended to a call for continued support for the Tinubu administration as it pursues the Renewed Hope Agenda of the APC.

“I applaud the judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal for upholding the victory of our President, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and our Vice President, His Excellency, Kashim Shettima, at the 2023 presidential polls,” said Akpabio, underlining the significance of this landmark ruling for their party, the APC.

“I also congratulate our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), on its vindication by this well-thought-out landmark judgement.

“This judgement has expressly affirmed the popular mandate of the Nigerian people for our party the APC and its Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates, freely given at the February 2023 polls.

“As the Court has painstakingly addressed all the issues raised by the petitioners, I urge all concerned to accept the judgement and join hands with the Tinubu government in its bold efforts to secure the wellbeing of our people,” Akpabio said.

However, as jubilation ensues within the President’s camp, the opposition parties find themselves grinding their teeth in frustration. They now set their sights on the Supreme Court, anticipating a fierce legal battle to come. The question remains: Which camp do you, dear reader, align with in this controversial chapter of Nigerian politics?
