Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, the Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, has denounced the burning to death of a seminarian, Na’aman Ngofe Danladi in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State that took place yesterday, Friday, September 8.
The miscreants had invaded and attacked the residence of a Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Okolo, on Thursday evening, setting fire to the entire rectory and unfortunately, a seminarian who had just a month left to complete his studies.
Senator Katung, had in a reaction to the incident on Saturday, September 9, said that it was sad and unfortunate that evil had once again visited the tranquil community.
“I wish to absolutely condemn this horrific terrorist attack that took the life of a young and promising seminarian.
“Terrorism and violence against innocent citizens will never be justified nor be a part of our daily occurrences,” he had said.
According to him, a cowardly and callous attack like that conducted on peace-loving communities would never be allowed to continue.
The Senator had gone further to appeal to the security agencies to carry out a one-month intensive operation snd investigation on the forest surrounding Southern Kaduna so as to humiliate the bandits and kidnappers.
“Anyone found to be aiding and abetting criminals will not be spared from the full wrath of the law,” he promised.
