Veteran Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has opened up about her romantic preferences, revealing that she is no longer interested in dating younger men.
In a candid conversation with media personality Ifedayo Agoro, Bello said she’s now focused on deeper values and life goals — a shift that has influenced how she views relationships.
According to her, she often receives attention from admirers of all ages, including much younger men. But while it may be flattering, she says that chapter of her life is now closed.
“Men slid into my DM, over 50 and even younger men. It’s flattering, but the thing is, some of them are badly behaved. Some will tell me ‘Hi, dear’,” she said.
“There is no need for me to date a younger man. I have dated a younger man and don’t want to do it again. What I want now is different. When I dated a younger man, I was having fun. It was for a season, and the season is over, but there is nothing wrong with it.”
While she made it clear she has nothing against age-gap relationships, she noted that her current mindset is aligned with more long-term goals — including the possibility of marriage.
“What I want now is marriage; I don’t mind marriage,” Bello said. “But I have a different opinion when it comes to marriage. I think a lot of people are rigid when it comes to marriage.”
