Nigerian gospel sensation, Damilare Odunuga, alias Dare Melody, has opened up on the family struggles his late wife, Adedoyin, had to face. Adedoyin lost her life on October 24, 2024, following a heart-related ailment. Despite facing family struggles with her husband’s family, she stood by him through thick and thin.
In a viral video on Kilarigbo’s YouTube channel, Dare Melody revealed that his family frustrated Adedoyin a lot. “My family frustrated Adedoyin,” he said, reassuring her that “Adedoyin, I am the one you got married to, and anytime you see me, put your mind at rest.”
Dare Melody remembered how they had to face some really hard times, where sometimes they could hardly have enough to eat. He told his friends how Adedoyin stood by him, giving him the strength to forge on till 2010 when his turnaround song, Goodness and Mercy, was released. The song revived his career and brought with it blessings to the family.
A friend then suggested to him to build a house in her name to appreciate her sacrifices, He replied, “All that I have is hers.”
The couple, who started their marriage in October 2017, has three daughters. Fans’ hearts were moved by the story of Dare Melody as it stirred an important topic: love, sacrifice, and the strength of being steadfast in the face of family pressure.
