The Islamic Movement in Nigeria, IMN, otherwise known as the ‘Shi’ites’ have allegedly uncovered a plot by the Nigerian government to stage prison breaks in some parts of the country and blame the attacks on the movement.
According to the IMN, the planned attacks were specifically targeted at correctional centers and facilities in Adamawa, Yobe, Kaduna, Sokoto, and Katsina states and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT and from all indications, the plot is a calculated attempt by President Muhammadu Buhari’s government to keep at its attack on its leader, Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky.
This revelation had been revealed by the IMN through a statement issued by Halima Aliyu on behalf of the Academic Forum of the movement on Thursday, December 15 in Abuja.
The sect then stated that the plan was contained in a document reportedly written by one David Attah and sent to the Minister of Interior; Inspector General of Police; Controller-General, Nigeria Correctional Service, Abuja; and the Commandant-General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Abuja.
